I have trained and transitioned a 3 scrum team R&D department from Waterfall to Agile methodology with XP engineering practices. Trained a senior software engineer to become a Scrum Master.
I’ve been working for NorthStar Utilities since summer 2015. My responsibilities involve creating and maintaining the R&D project roadmap, managing 9 direct reports (Software Engineers and Quality Assurance Specialists), identifying and interviewing potential new hires, negotiating compensation packages, terminating employees (sadly), project management of R&D projects, mentoring junior team members, acting as Director of R&D in his absence, and establishing organized software development processes.
I successfully led to completion a 9-month long project with a 14 member team with delivery to customer on time. Waterfall and traditional engineering practices were used in order to ensure delivery of customer requirements.
I successfully lead a 3 month long project with 2 scrum teams to deliver an MVP for the integration of an existing customer portal with our existing customer information system using Agile methodology and XP engineering practices.
