Assassin’s Creed 2 is a fantastic game

Assassin’s Creed 2 (AC2) has proven to be one of my favourite games of all time.

I played the Assassins Creed a bunch, and I fell in love with the gameplay itself, but where the game fell short was variety. While the graphics were outstanding, and gameplay was enjoyable, the missions were awful. There was a very limited number of mission types, and to extend the length of the game, they repeated each one with little or no modifications. On the other hand, AC2, while leaving the core gameplay unchanged, flushed out the variety of gameplay immensely.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze is a brash youth growing up Florence Italy in the 1400s. He was headstrong, overconfident, charismatic. All traits that make the most interesting characters for me. I’m reminded of the my DnD character from a few years past, Juici Lucannen. I should write an entry about this soon, but that’s not what this is about.

All in all, an exciting story, loveable characters, entertaining gameplay, and a wide variety of missions makes for one of the best games that is even worth revisiting (or visiting if you’ve never played it before). This past Christmas, the game was on a steam sale for 5 bucks. It’s now 10 bucks, but still worth it. Add it to your wish list immediately.
